Music Assistant

What it does

Music Assistant is a powerful music system that can unify multiple speakers/targets and give you a consistent “play everywhere” experience.

Why it’s useful in a van

  • Multi-room (or multi-zone) audio in a small space
  • Simple dashboard controls (volume, play/pause, sources)
  • Works well even on local networks with flaky internet (depending on providers)

How to install

  • None required (but you’ll want at least one speaker/endpoint: Sonos, Chromecast, Bluetooth receiver, etc.)

  • Install Music Assistant (server/add-on) and the HA integration
